Introduction

What's the purpose of writing about a small software company that was started back in the 1990's. What's the relevancy today? Well, in 2019, the software is still widely used, and is still highly regarded 24 years after initial release: No small feat! However the reason to read on is that the successful methods that were employed, the culture that was created, and the extensive wisdom that was gained are universal, and time independent. Here you will learn about this adventure, from the original conception to the rise of market leader.

In keeping with TouchPoint's hiring philosophy of "No egos allowed", you may be surprised to not find reference to specific people that created and or worked at TouchPoint. This story is not about building anyone's ego, but rather to share the experience, knowledge, and wisdom garnered during the TouchPoint adventure. Obviously it was the people that made this an exciting adventure, but this story is about how they became a formidable team, a tightly knit family, and how their creativity brought forth more than a product success, but a life success, a life adventure.
